The biggest reason why we feel stuck in a specific feeling for far too long is because of something called the Stuck Emotion Cycle.
Most people unknowingly think that they are genuinely trying to understand a feeling by THINKING about it, analyzing it over and over again, inside their brain.
But what we forget when we do this, is that feelings also live inside your body.
And because we’ve forgotten this crucial piece of information, what happens next is that we start to wonder, “What’s wrong with me? Why am I still feeling this way?”, which then induces **additional** feelings of frustration or confusion.
And what do we do with those feelings?
That’s right….
We end up going straight to our brain to do more analysis which further contributes to this Stuck Emotion Cycle.
